A beautiful Kentucky day -- started with a foggy 39 degrees but this afternoon was a sunny 60. My plan had been to spend today at the reconstructed Fort Boonesborough, Kentucky's 2nd settlement, featuring artisans and pioneer reenactors. Just 10 miles north of Lexington, the Kentucky Horse Park is dedicated to showcasing the region's long equine history and highlighting the multiple horse breeds within the state. The complex is huge and really well done. I started with a horse-drawn (black Clydesdales) trolley ride around the grounds.
