... 85 feet almost vertically down through total darkness, landing with a huge splash into the river again . To say the splash made us wet is the understatement of the year. ... busy day - level 9 on the crowd barometer (which goes from 1 (low) to 10. In fact the park opened early today at 8am so we should have been there about an hour earlier in order to be right inside by then. However, we decided it was our first day and we were going to take it steady.

... when we got back to the RV. We decided to take it easy this morning (friday) and get on the way to crystal river so we could explore a bit today. Only a two some hour drive today headed in the right direction. So far we haven't hit anything (except a really stupid bird in the keys) and there have been no fires. The crew is pretty efficient at set up and take down, and we can usually be "road ready" in about 10-15 minutes. Manatees here we come!!!! Roll ...

Apparently Walt Disney himself started this idea of the candlelight processional, with Christmas carols being performed for over 50 years. I would imagine that the concept has grown over the years, but it is really spectacular.
