6300 miles so far

We have had amazing times, amazing friends, but our ***es are TIRED.

Rather than go on to Clearwater (another 2 1/2 hours), we stopped in Lake City, FL. Checked in, get some ZZZ's, move on tomorrow.

Phyllis cooked an amazing casserole this AM, along with more King's Cake, so we are sufficiently porked up to survive the next recession. The blog entries will ...

... we had a time change and gained an hour. We arrived like at 3:30, got set up and got my crabmeat appetizers ready for the meet and greet. Everyone seemed nice, some people had been coming for 7 years. A chilly night, I showered in the RV. Pooped and in bed at 10:30, that's early for me!

We half-heartedly departed Sarasota, a little sad to leave our all-inclusive set up, full bathroom and kitchen access, and most importantly, my Dad! Not surprisingly, I was a bit teary eyed as I glanced back one last time to see my Dad waving from the driveway on Tarpon Ave! But as Erik said, the adventure had to continue of course! Our next stop was Paynes Prairie State Park, which came highly recommended by other campers at a previous stop. ...

... leap an astounding 6 feet in the air.....can you imagine sitting in a canoe and having that happen?


There is also a 90 foot sinkhole pond in the park, where scuba divers come to dive. A cave located at 90 feet down is called catfish hotel due to the large schools of catfish that gather there. When we arrived, a scuba diver said he had just seen an alligator on his dive.

Today we are thankful.... For our amazing family, our good health and the chance to enjoy so many new things. Today we learned: 1. You CAN cook a turkey in an RV oven 2.
