    ... have a phone box across the road, that amused me. As teenagers they can go and sow their wild oats before they decide if they want to stay Amish and if so get baptised into the church and adopt the lifestyle. So is not unusual to see young ones out having a good time!! They are also not averse to asking for a lift in your car if it suits them. Funny people.

    ... surprised at how quickly the landscape changed into rolling hills and wide open fields with predominantly corn crops grown by the Amish people. We had supper at the local Texas Roadhouse and called it a night.     What a great day, so glad we made out to Lancester. After leaving New York before the sunrise this morning we headed on an 3 hour Amtrak train via Philly to Lancaster, where we meet Gene our driver for the day, what a neat guy if you are ever in this area and want a private driver can really recommend him.
