... we headed down to the water front, we walked all the way around the bay, stopping off to look at the amazing USS Midway Museum, we did want to go on-board but were having to be choosie about what we do, cant do everything! You can get a really good view from the shore though and we took some good pics. ... had spotted a mall as we were coming into the city, so we made a beeline for there, deciding to spend the rest of the afternoon having a leisurely window shopping session. Originally we had thought about going to the coast to play in the tide pools, but this is only really an option if you're visiting San Diego with a car - otherwise it would have entailed a complex series of bus transfers, which it turned out we couldn't be bothered ...

Nous avons quelques visites de prévues : le fameux zoo de San Diego, le Safari zoo, Sea World. Nous voulons aussi prendre du temps pour explorer la ville et les alentours. En espérant qu’il y ait moins de circulation qu’à L.A.

Sonnenbrand ahoi. Aber sehr schön war der weiße Sandstrand, und so wurde mein Bikini zum ersten Mal dieses Jahr ausgepackt. Ich hatte Henrikje ja gesagt sie soll sich eincremen… und auch ich sah am Ende genau welche Stellen ich vergessen hatte – aber wenigstens wusste ich, dass meine Sonnencreme sehr gut funktionierte.
Eigentlich wollten wir an diesem Abend den Bus nach Las Vegas ...
Pre-vacation, vacation
... to quote my San Diego hair dresser - have "Eat, Pray, Love moments." On the loose agenda, post England, Portugal and Spain: More of Spain, Paris, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, the Cote d'Azur for some quality time with the family, and any/everything in between. I'm winging it, so much of this will probably change.
Until then... I'm lucky to have such awesome friends in such a sunny city.
