... had Joe and Mel, Lynn's cousin Bonnie and Michael, our nephew over for an early St. Paddy's Day dinner. It was a lot of fun with good ol' corned beef and cabbage topped off with homemade Lemon Meringue Pie for desert. It's good to get and early start for such an auspicious occasion...

Canyon Ferry Reservoir

... day to kayak and sail on Canyon Ferry Reservoir. It is a huge lake with lots of islands, beaches and coves. Canyon Ferry was the name of the little town on the river that was covered up when the lake was created. Luckily, the cemetery was high on a bluff so it still exists. While prowling around up there, we discovered many old,old markers and many others that can no longer be read. Quite interesting.

about a foot and a half during one storm and usually has bout 6 inches
