... s Bookstore for some Christmas presents, and then got my mandatory Starbucks Iced Mexi Mocha and breakfast sandwich and was on my way to Coeur D’Alene. I remember falling in love with Coeur D’Alene the first time I passed through, so I skipped off the 90 for a quick jaunt through downtown. I noticed a cool park, Tubbs, that I didn’t notice before so went ahead and made a stop to check it out. A must do! Finn and I hiked partially around the little peninsula ...

... a Honey Jack night cap and it's time to call day 2 and hit the sack.

Going to be a interesting day tomorrow as we venture back in to Nevada! This boy needs to go stealth mode, car is need of some modifications, so it's going to be an early morning for some custom work on the S2000! Stay tuned ... This will be the most dangerous section of the trip!

Need to be focused, so day two is over and out!

We made it home safely from Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. The highway surface was fine, but wet most of the way, but no serious snow. We're happy to be here, even though we have sort of abandoned Fiona, the new motorhome, in Kennewick, WA.

... The land was really flat just like Saskatchewan but we passed through a few really nice ravines and canyons. As we were cruising at about 120km/ph an extremely loud squealing noise, smoke and smell was coming from the engine so we quickly pulled over to find the air conditioning belt was slipping. I tightened it up and we carried onto the next town to get some anti slip spray. The shop didn't have any but I did find the belt had ...

... to drive from one side of the park to the other, over the mountain where, apparently, the glacier viewing areas are. We were on the west side and that part of the road was only open for 16 miles, up to Avalanche. We thought it might be due to snow, however the park’s web site says there is construction up above Avalanche. We were disappointed to hear this, but we have seem glaciers before, in Alaska. So we took the 16 mile drive and thoroughly enjoyed it.
