We learned that Minnie Pearl's real name is actually Sarah Cannon and she donated money to a Cancer Research Hospital named for her as Sarah Cannon not Minnie Pearl.

Monte took me to the airport for my flight to LA where I was to meet up with Caren. We planned to meet at the baggage claim which was where all Southwest flights got their luggage. I arrived about an hour before Caren did, so I entertained myself until she got there.

Finally, I got to the Natural Bridge parking lot, a dirt lot with an incongruous two story “gift shop” in Plantation manor style. “Enter Natural Bridge Through Gift Shop,” a sign told me. ... haunts. http://www.bellwitch.org/story.htm Unfortunately the Bell Witch hangs up her white sheet and spooky voice on weekdays. Damn! We decided to start making our way towards Memphis which is our destination for tomorrow. Along the way we stopped at Walmart and stocked up on jeans, jocks and socks (for AJ...not me). He also managed to pick up some "Old Bay Seasoning" which is a southern dry rub that will no doubt get tested as soon as we return home!
