... been taken in from the cold. We walked around the far end of the park to the Beaver Pond Blind and Treehouse, but there wasn’t a lot to see here, so we continued back to the North America exhibit. There were a lot of various ducks and geese here, as well as some beautiful cranes and geese. One whooping crane was very interested in the GoPro camera and even tried to take a bite! The demoiselle cranes were especially beautiful with light ...

      What a miserable place!
It's hot as hell, the water in the pool looks like someone poured milk into it, and there is nothing to do in the area.
This is our own fault. We completely spaced about the holiday weekend and this was the ONLY place we could find available anywhere near where we want to go next.

See you back in ...

... br> Once we had finished eating, we had some time to check out the general store section of the restaurant. You never know what treasures you will find in there. I left with a large brown bag filled with different pancake mixes....buttermilk, apple cinnamon and sweet potato. I also purchase a bottle of pecan praline syrup, and some other yummy treats, including chocolate Moon Pies.

We are now back on the bus headed for ...

... I felt like having breakfast for dinner...my favourite thing to do when travelling long distances. It is comfort food to me. I had the country sampler platter which consisted of grits, biscuits with sausage country gravy, fried apples, eggs, country sausage, sugar cured ham, bacon, hash brown casserole and some hot and steamy coffee. I am content! The three of us ate for just over $26 not including ...
