          Human and Airplane Fuel....

This morning's liftoff from Centennial Airport was fantastic with smooth skies for the 3.25 hours all the way to Ponca City, OK for our first fuel stop and lunch. Interestingly, this was the first time I landed at an airport barely above 1000' MSL (actually the first time landing below 3500') so managing the fuel mixture and resultant cylinder head and exhaust gas temperatures during descent was a new experience. After an ATC-vectored ...

I then came across a crossing with only a little water and the bike slid badly. i stopped to warn the chaps by offering the correct signals....Gabe went through giving it loads of gas and over she went, now that was funny.

Two days ago we had a 75mi ride through Oklahoma heat and cross-winds, and we are all learning the importance of hydration, especially in the afternoon hours. I learned kind of the hard way. It is pretty easy to ride in the cooler hours of the morning with minimal water, but not necessarily right approach. Also, riding through highways and country roads in OK doesn't provide a lot of shelter from ...

First, the reason I call today's post one of nine is because this is the first of nine ride days we'll have right in a row. It's going to be a long few days. But good few days... I get to ride my bike all day, how could everything not be great? Back to today: 5:30am wake up, and now I'm going to talk about everything I ate before I proceed with all the ins and outs of today. I know that sounds pretty ridiculous, but really it's kind of interesting. I'm burning so many ...

The morning dragged for me today after having 2 successful build days in Bartlesville. Although it was tough to get me goin' this morning, I had an awesome ride crew to start the day with-Ali, Jamie, and Carlee. These 3 are some of the most wonderful people. They are caring, open-minded, and each have their own, unique infectious laughter. Simply put, they made it easy for the morning crankiness to wear off quickly. Our conversations on Orange, life meanings, and ...
