Stockton, California, United States vera_und_alexthis trip has been about a year in the making--beginning with the idea, discussing how to put it all together, the most economical way to do it, where we wanted to go, what was the best time of year per country, etc, etc. trust me, this year of adventure didn't happen over night. but now that it has, we call ourselves Freedom Cary and Freedom Chris.
<br ...
Stockton, California, United States gocarygoWe found a small car rental company "Super Cheap Cars" that do no charge for under 25 drivers such as myself. It was 50usd/day all tax included with illimited miles and an assurance covering almost everything in California and Nevada; reasonable but not "Super Cheap".
So we ended up Tuesday morning with all our belongings in a white Toyota Corola, on the roads of California.
The automatic car wasn't a problem (it ...
Tracy, California, United States thomasboulier... the farm while away. Patsy and George came to assist with animal care while Annie was away, and were burdened with the additional drama of the passing of Cinders, the eldest resident cat, and the hospitalization of Bean, the second oldest cat who succumbed to some mysterious wound and had to be put to sleep. We know that this must have been traumatic but they took it upon themselves and kept the news from us until our return, keeping these sadder events from our happier days ...
Lodi, California, United States stoebnerworfolk... same with multi-hulls and I should have painted the bottom with emergrncy orange instead of the cool dark blue I got. As I said, the colors previlent seem to be grey and blue, so I am renameing her "Civil War." It is a dual meaning name. It refers to what is always going on in my head as well as my love of history. I guess I needed to ramble on, and I feel much better. Sorry about the misspellings, as I, in truth, just havn't figued out the spellcheck as of yet Thanks again for reading. Steve

In addition, I have also bought a bio-convertible generator, a good set of deep cell batteries, a good charger and a good inverter. When this is done, I can leave the dock and travel with either bio-diesel or sail t places unknown. When I keep that in mind, keep going. Thanks to my readers and my apologizes for my grammatical errors. I think that I mentioned that my reading ...
Stokton, California, United States stevevall... and salt water is superior to fresh water in the bilge. Salt water "pickles" the wood and prevents dry-rot, where fresh water is cause for dry-rot. The bilge is freshly painted, and there is actually a small layer of dust in the majority, telling me that water does not leak into the boat. This was totally unexpected. As to keeping the bilge nice and rot free, I plan to pour a bag of rock salt into the bilge, between the ribs, to turn what ever water that does get down there into ...
Stockton, California, United States stevevall... just like old times, and of course had to get one of the world famous burritos from the Mexican dudes! It was just as good as I remember - and just as big! We dropped Vicks back at work and headed to Lake Merritt to wander around the old 'hood. We drove by my apartment - and I think the lovely young ladies that I used to share with are still living there... (the big tree was still in the lounge) I didn't stop in... (shocking). We walked up Lakeshore and Grand, stopped in a few ...

Lodi, California, United States jaynaSan Francisco is a really cool city...and because I liked it so much I extended my stay there.
