Super nice place to stay. They have air conditioning! Nice size room, LCD TV, frig, microwave, comfortable bed, nice pool area and a super restaurant. Very friendly staff.

... hour round trip ended up
taking 4 hours. Poor Ben, he's being a trooper with some of the
longer driving days but it does hurt him to sit for that long. We've
read that we shouldn't drive for more than 5 hours and certainly not
everyday. I can see why, you'd spend the whole time looking at the
scenery go by. We're aiming for 1-2 hours daily average.

disappointed with the controlled fire the government had done. I mean the trees
lived two thousand years naturally so why does the government need to mess with
them? They had killed several of them with their man made fires. We met a
couple on their honeymoon from London who we gave our SF city passes to. We had

we’re spending the night. Peace to my ***** ...

And I was looking forward to the view. But when we got there, it was a parking lot, the base of a walking trail to the top of the mountain. Sigh. I thought long and hard about this. The trail was a zigzag up, about half a mile long and rising about 500 feet. I was having a ...

... stopping outside LV for gas and coffee. This was one of the best coffee places we came across - there must have been 20 varieties of coffee available - bring ones own mug in and get it cheaper.

Did not stop much until arriving at Fresno CA by late afternoon. A huge 577 mile (928 km) drive. The GPS behaved itself today. On the start of our trip out of San Francisco the wife and the GPS girl were having arguments with each other - quite funny having the 2 women in my truck ...

... ended and we hung out at the theater for a bit and left. Bertha was trailing behind us still and I was feeling so uncomfortable. I could hear her giggle to herself and sing about Fifi and this went on until Pakou and I got inside the house. By this time, it was dark and she created a bonfire outside. Looks like I won't be getting any sleep ...
