    Perfect place to stay

    Super nice place to stay. They have air conditioning! Nice size room, LCD TV, frig, microwave, comfortable bed, nice pool area and a super restaurant. Very friendly staff.

    ... were tired. Since I have used Muir quotes to begin many of my national park blog entries, I was listening for familiar phrases. Sure enough, I picked up on several. He used one expression I had never heard---CPR: Conserve, Preserve and Restore. Frank's performance was fascinating and definitely the highlight of the day!

    After leaving Yosemite we stopped at Oakhurst to spend a couple of days relaxing (and so Ken could watch the Steelers lose - yet again).

    Some the best tips we get on what to see in the area come when we check into campgrounds and ask that question. This man told us that we needed to go to Fresno and see the Forestiere Underground Gardens. This turned out to be a very fascinating place.
