    Perfect place to stay

    Super nice place to stay. They have air conditioning! Nice size room, LCD TV, frig, microwave, comfortable bed, nice pool area and a super restaurant. Very friendly staff.

    May 27th – Day 23



    Today was the drive into Sequoia
    National Park. The length of our RV meant we couldn't take the
    closest route into the park. We're 31 foot and the tight switchbacks
    meant that only vehicles less than 22 foot could use that road.
    Instead we needed to leave Visalia and drive an hour north before

    We enjoyed a box lunch picnic in the park. They were packed by the hotel and were better than expected (after last night's poor meal)---sandwich, chips and cookie. We ate with Eric and Sue from Illinois, very nice folks.

    ... place to stay with friendly staff and clean rooms, plus a fridge and microwave. Monterey is a gorgeous seaside community with beautiful houses and sanctuary to the Monarch Butterfly! The butterflies hang in clusters from eucalyptus branches to maintain body temperature, and the resulting effect is stunning. Monarch butterflies are the only insect that migrates to a warmer climate that is 2,500 miles away each year.

    ... and there was no adverse weather for the duration of the flight. I had about a 10-knot tailwind through California, Nevada and part of Utah. When I got into Colorado the winds decided it would be fun to switch direction and gave me a 14-knot headwind. I would say that my average speed on that flight was 170 knots.

    I was excited to come into Boulder because that is where I go to school. Boulder, Colorado sits right ...

    ... the news of a brand new song from David he introduced at the Underground Lounge at the Mix 941 Vegas the afternoon before-and lucky for us-someone in attendance caught it all here.It's an MP3 for those of you who may be interested. It's called" From Here To Zero" and my sister Marla is completely over the moon in love with it........me, eh, not so much....but give it a listen and decide for yourself!!!
