      Camping Trip #2 of 2015

Stayed in campground #1, site 6. Quiet park. Gravel site backed up to nature trail. Not level. Picnic table and fire ring. 30amp and water. Bathrooms were clean but dated. Told campground #2 was newer but it was close to full when we arrived. Opted for the one with less people for more privacy. Maddux and Gavin joined us ...

It was a nice easy drive to General Coffee State Park in Nicholls, Ga. The park is nice but only 2 other campers beside the host are here. All the sites are pull-thrus with water and electric only. We are relaxing before we go see our grandchildren in Crawfordville, Florida.

      Didn't do anything today ...

Year 2, Day 127 - Today we drove the backroads from Tifton where our campground was and we sort of stumbled across the "capture site" of Jefferson Davis (and his party as they fled Richmond). Along with the story of Jefferson Davis, the museum now includes artifacts from the ...

... did "make his mark" on our clean carpet though. If the tire pressure is off, I'll call the Ford Dealer and share my two complaints with them.

It looks like we just might have a decent sunset tonight. The only shot got on our long hike yesterday was of an Eastern Towhee. It's a dark bird with a dark orange chest and an amazing white eye. The ranger at the parked identified it for us. It's nice to have the resources handy and that some actually ...

      Family Time

After a hardworking week with the Lady Aggies, I was able to go home and enjoy some well needed family time. Going back to Georgia was great because not only was I able to spend time with my family, but I also was able to attend my cousin's wedding. It was a small lakeside wedding and it was beautiful! I was very glad to be able to have been in attendance. Now it's time to get focused and work towards this championship!
