Occasionally, there is a bit of competitive flare up – a flurry of wings and one or more of the individuals relocate themselves. It reminds me of some Thanksgiving get-togethers I have attended.

... beach in Daytona is so strange. It was perfectly flat and smooth, almost like concrete. We weren't sure if the city grooms it be that way or if it just naturally does that. It was a little odd to walk on the beach and have your feet not get covered with sand, but it did make for a beautiful scene. The ocean water looked like glass across the flat sand in the twilight.
