Quality Hotel and Suites Evansville

Jen here. I just visited friends and family in Memphis and am back in Owensboro. JD and I are trying to get the last details for our trip hammered out before we head in different directions. JD is going to the Nevada Outback for a weekend with the guys, and I'm traveling to Long Beach, CA to participate in a half marathon with the ladies. ... for different reasons so we were curious who would be able to get there. We also found that the park was hosting go-cart races that Saturday—there were a lot of bales of hay being laid out and plastic fencing marking a rather impressive race track. The park also had several lakes that they stock with fish regularly so folks can, as Tom says, go out and murder some wildlife. I don’t think Tom will be fishing.

Inn-guests tandem bicycles and took off across town to walk the Harmonist labyrinth.  On the way we marveled at the gardens: huge extravagant peonies in many gardens, roses everywhere, vegetables growing beside almost every house.This afternoon we'll walk the Cathedral labyrinth and I plan to spend some more time in the Roofless Church (called so because the sky is overhead).  Photos of that later.

We been moving along to get home and it is a long way. So I'm going to post where we spend the night and then the next day it's off on the next leg. Were on our way to North Carolina and then to Florida. Sorry no pictures. Ray and Christa

We had no problem in leaving Cave in Rock early this morning and even the drivers were out by 8. My parents were able to come up and spend some time in Evansville with me! They got here on Tuesday, when I did. I was able to get them a room in the same hotel that we were staying at. We went out to a nice Italian restaurant that night, called Angelo's, recommended by Erin, who is from Evansville. Then we quickly discovered that there wasn't much to do ...
