... excited. Took his picture and everything. He's not living that down anytime soon. Thus far we've met up with my neighbours on their way home and hit up Starbucks. Duty free isn't open. As many of you know, duty free shopping is one of my favorite parts of any airport adventure. Not cool Stanfield International, not cool at all.
And so it begins. :)
We are in Sydney, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. It was cloudy when we 'parked' in the harbour but the sun came out by the time we took the tender to the terminal. We arrived at the North Sydney ferry terminal about 5pm for the 7:30pm
crossing on the Leif Ericson, a boat called into service (after the grounding

So, I began to make phone calls, first to the other shop in town, then another close by, then all I could find in St. John's, Newfoundland which is my next destination. Nothing. It was then suggested I try Atlantic Motoplex in New Brunswick. Bingo! Now all I had to do is get it here to Sydney. By now it was noon and a Friday. Luckily, Len, the guy on the other end of the phone, came up with the idea ...
... When I approached the Air Canada desk my old hockey buddy, Tim Brine, was there and, while he tried his best, he couldn't get me on the flight as it had been overbooked. He was surprised that I had not spoken up earlier as he never knew me to be quiet. Oh well, live and learn.
Tim also said that the two lads headed for the lockup will be banned from travelling on Air Canada as they are repeat offenders. Now how will they get back to work? Makes ...
