About 3 hours on the road today leaving Norway and into Sweden. Lots of very pretty lakes and farming on the rolling hills. Mainly dairy type farming and corn in this area. Karlstad is a pretty town but there are not a lot of historical things to visit. The church dates back to 1737. There are lots of pretty waterways and canals. Strangely when we arrived it had stopped raining and was a quite nice, if cold, afternoon. So we went for a walk around the lake.
We came back and had a quick tea. The one thing we have found is that despite the temperature being quite cold overnight we haven't been cold at all. Thank goodness for good insulation.
The rain returned just on bed time.

The hotel we are staying in is an old gaol that has been converted for us the new inhabitants to stay in.
The town has a river with people swimming in it and people boating and just laying around in the water on rubber tubes.
The bridge has pretty flowers all over it a lovely park alongside the river.
... it will be filled with a bunch of fresh experiences, which is basically why I’m putting this up. I’m thinking of having something to collect to the future but also to share with friends and family. However, I cannot ensure that I am good at updating frequently. It depends on the situation. But I will surely keep a regular basis of writing and taking pictures to at least store in my computer for further upload.

First full day in Sweden could not have been any better. We had a full Swedish breakfast, then a yummy lunch, and then we piled into the car for a trip to the CIRKUS!
