We packed a picnic and took the cable car from Alleghe to Col dei Baldi via Balta Scouattolo. Once we arrived, we hiked 1.5hrs up to the Lago di Coldai. Stunning! We had our lunch and snoozed in the sunshine. We continued exploring then headed back in time for the last chair lift. Since it's our last day in Italy we stopped for a (very disappointing) gelato. We got some groceries for dinner and headed back to the van. An excellent ...

Clear blue skies. We set off on our cycle over Passo Giau, through Cortina d'Ampezzo (stopped for a well earned coffee and sandwich!) and back over the Passo Falzarego. Perfect weather and a thoroughly enjoyable 80km loop on the bike! The scenery was spectacular. 360deg views ...

We put our hiking boots on and headed on a hike up to Prolongia. The weather wasn't bad, patchy blue sky, but it was cold up the top! Stunning 360deg views of the Dolomites. We hiked for four hours. In ...

We packed up the van, picked a few more apples (!!) and hit the road. We stopped in Merano for groceries, petrol and gas, then headed towards Corvara. The drive was beautiful through the mountains and next to a river. We arrived in Corvara around 1pm, had some lunch then hit the road on the bikes. The forecast for the ...

More washing. Even managed to do the bed sheet in the fruit bowl! We jumped on the bikes and rolled down to the river trail that started in Merano. It was a gravel track between the river and the Apple orchards. Beautiful! We enjoyed the flat riding! We stopped 25km down the road in a town called St Leohnards. Some roads were closed for a bike ride ...
