We were in for a fun filled day today!
We headed into Newcastle to the metro centre look-a-like for an unlimited
lazer tag and bowling combo! The competetive natures were shinging through
but the English proved too awesome for the Aussies(lets discount the fact
that most of them we're fairly young....)
Lunch was at chicken take away restaurant called 'Oporto' ...

... I found the bus ride to have gone pretty fast between the chatting and the sleeping. The entire ride I felt as if we were in Canada, there was so much greenery and it looked like my usual trip from Toronto to Kingston, Ontario. When we arrived there we were all shocked to find out we were actually sleeping in tents. Base camp meant CAMPING. A lot of us wish we had known so we could have been a bit more prepared by bringing warmer clothes. The site itself was very ...

We finally managed to look lost enough for someone to enquire what we were doing and we were directed in the right way. The museum had lots of interactive activities which we explored and had a go at which was good fun.

After we had seen everything in the museum we walked back to the hostel for our usual BBQ evening. Delicious.

... good company and conversation. What was I so nervous about? It was easy! Just go and sit with people and start talking to them. Simple. The first hurdle had been overcome. I'd done it once and I was ready to carry on meeting more people and having a good time. Two French girls had also moved into my room, so the time for being alone had come to an end. After a little day at the beach, wandering around and chilling out I'd made plans to travel to the next stop, Port Macquarie, with ...

... enough. We decided to make a dinner while we can get most of everyone together. Riss’s mum and dad came up for uncle Rod’s 50th so it was great to see them because we hadn’t in 6 weeks. Unfortunately they missed out on the roast dinner!
