Well the storm to end all storms did not eventuate overnight - which was actually good. I can't really imagine what 2 feet of snow across the city might look like. It was a very weird day today. The only people out are the tourists and anyone unlucky enough to have to work. Schools were closed and most small businesses. Wall Street was closed. Some large stores opened at midday and pharmacies were open. Starbucks' across the city were closed all day - ...

... a funeral setting.

It was now around 4pm getting cool and overcast. We walked to the bus stop to continue our tour of the Downtown Loop. Within a few minutes we were at a point where we could view the Statue Of Liberty clearly. From there it was on to Battery Park. Battery Park is named for the artillery batteries that were positioned there in the citys early years to protect the settlement behind them.

The Tour Bus now proceeded through ...

... Standing on the top of the Rockerfeller building yesterday was a bit if mind blowing experience. It is the one spot that you can see NY in its full length, from tip to toe. Janine and I spent a lot of time in complete silence, just looking and searching the landscape with our eyes. Before we came down, I had to keep having one last look, We are loving New York, and still have nearly four days left ...
