... which was around 18,000 people I think but the music wasn’t that great and German’s don’t really know how to just have fun and be silly. Sometimes we felt like we were the only people singing to even the German songs. After the 1,000 people practiced the choreographed dance (a shortened version) about 10 times and 4 hours later they finally filmed the real version for the show. I do not want to hear that song for a long time now! It was pretty fun and crazy ...
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiepI went to get coffee in the Schloss with Wendy then we shopped around for some costumes. Wendy was a Berliner Kindl kid which was so cute!! I was Mutti (a mom) apron, wooden spoon and bandaids. Drew was an army cook with the huge fly swater or a burger flipper from the Euro store, Shawn was Santa Claus. Mason was a contractor. Dave was some creepy guy with a top hat. They don't really have very ...
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiepIt was a beautiful day outside so Wendy and I decided to take a walk in the Nature conservatory area on the edge of the city. It took a long time to get there (40 minutes) but we walked around for about 2 hours and saw some beautiful landscape. It was nice to get away from the city and enjoy the Fall colors.

That night there was a volleyball event at the Sports-zentrum. Soth, Steve, Shawn, Drew and I went to just ...

Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiep... part of the village and went to eat, ate a Döner box. Then we walked to the Herzog-August-Biblothek and Lessinghaus for a tour by Librarians. It was very interesting and you could tell that these Women knew so much since they are surounded by books all day everyday. Then we took the bus back to Braunschweig. The village was easy to get to and I would definitely go back!

We ate it on German bread with butter and of course beer. They had a dog and a huge pig in their back yard which was in the middle of the woods. Then they showed us where they store the fish and chop them up, eww! It was a pretty decent day all around.
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiep... hats with pull-down glasses and a special blue paper to look at the bright hot metal with. Then we toured the plant which was enormous!! They produce enough gas to basically fuel their entire process on site. There was no steel actually being produced that day but we got to see it being smelted down which was really neat to see. It was so hot in there and there was a lot of dust which was hard for me to deal with sometimes. The huge slabs and ...

I ordered Schnitzel and pommes frittes and it was the best meal of my life!! There were only a couple of couples in the restaurant, and so it was nice. The waitor/owner came to us and we paid him. That was very nice and convenient. His little girl was walking behind him, sticking her pigtailed head up his ...
