Race Day

A travel blog entry by legoodtimesroll on Jul 10, 2015

... After a celebratory drink we made our way back to the bus stop and managed to buy some tickets this time. The younger generation slept the whole journey , anyone would have thought they had done a triathlon. We stocked up at the supermarket with BBQ food and more beer, before returning back to base camp. As usual Duncan was in charge of an excellent BBQ and I wrongly thought we had bought too much food and drink. Evening games ended a very successful day ...

Thursday The bus trip to Geneva was uneventful and we arrived at the Nash airport Hotel. On our way past the airport we checked that our bikes were still there, and they were but our little tool bags were both open. ... friendly and definitely family friendly. It was a great evening. It was nice talking to them and Riley of course enjoyed it because he got pizza. He blew them away from eating the whole pizza! We of course were not surprised. It was great and they were definitely family friendly we both agreed it was no Chez Marino. Well no big deal you don't know if you try and it was still a good night. It's nice to get out even if it's short because of kids.

... to pick up cash. The lowest amount you can take out is 50. That's not such a big deal but you can't get mixed bills. You just get one 50 bill. You don't get the option to withdraw mixed bills until 100 and even than it's 50s. So I went to grab money before going to coffee but I always forget this so that was pointless because I'm not going to pay a 10 franc coffee with a 50.

We entered the cafe and Riley was immediately excited he knew ...
