... The talks were interesting, I actually felt like I understood most of what they discussed (which is kinda a first..).

At lunch we all headed to the dining hall and our plates were already set and fixed. Yay it was all meat! I had lunch with 3 of the other biggest names of the conference, which was pretty nerve-wrecking actually. It's always strange when you've read these people's papers and you know they're 10 ...

Oslo, Oslo, Norway cariverga... Nobel decided to put Norway in charge of the Peace Prize), the Armed Forces Museum, the National Gallery, the Theatre Museum, and the botanical gardens.

We also checked out a number of nice neighbourhoods, and despite some evident poverty, there are many indications that the quality of life is indeed superior here. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised on a number of occasions, and there's no lack of things to see!
Oslo, Oslo, Norway fiseb... 1!

Steph was so astonished by the outrageous prices, she is abandoning all new careers to buy a roach coach and port-a-potties and set up shop next to the ski jump for their events. She is selling hot chocolate, hot coffee, hot bratwurst, hot tea – everything will be hot. And then she’ll charge them to use the potty to get back at the whole European Union for charging her on trips to use the potty.

And she won’t be giving change. It will ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway rhillaryj... that after the public transport museum we would rendez-vous once more with Thomas and Linda for another local's tour of the city but unfortunately a cold that Thomas had developed the previous day was getting worse and the decision was made by them to stay home. This was disappointing but Thomas needed to be well for work at his relatively new job the following day so I could understand the decision. Also, I did feel a bit guilty because Steve and I probably kept Thomas and ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway v1213... His documentary won an Oscar though, and that was displayed as well. (Don't tell, but I think I was more interested in Oscar than the raft!) Holmenkollen - This is the most visited tourist site in Norway? Ok... Its a big ski jump. It also includes a ski museum, which I guess might be interesting if you were SUPER into skiing? And why would I want to see an exhibit about the Royal Family skiing? Although, I may not love skiing enough to really ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway gocubs... right at the northern end of the Eidfjord, and Josh made friends with a friendly 82 year old local who was riding around on his shmicko ride on wheel chair and had a brand new digital camera, he spoke great English - like the largest part of the population here does here. We stayed out of town in Bergen because the town has tolls at its entry points and expensive car parks. Norway is such an expensive country to travel in, but totally worth it as it's such a beautiful ...
Oslo, Norway kitty... it was a mixture of them all i don't know, but i took them as a sign to get the hell out of the city. The next two days were spent back in London getting my strength back for the travel through Europe. It was good to be able to chat to Brian about the walk as it had seemed a bit surreal since i had finished it. We had a few beers a walk in Battersea park and dinner with Len, Marina and the kids, a perfect end to the U.K leg. The only hitch was checking the accommodation ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway talamarko... of Oslo was the Viking ship museum and the Statue Park. The Viking ship museum had real life viking ships and other items that showed off how advanced they were for the time. The statue park contained lots of weird nude statues and crazy babies that where happy, sad, angry and, on one statue, attacking a man.
(You can take that to the bank)...
