... on the boat, we dumped the bikes and went for a walk around the village of Ærøskøbing. It is a lovely place, absolutely perfect, with each building in wonderful condition and a picture in its’ own right. We had been told that Ærø was a lovely island and certainly, what we’ve seen so far isn’t a disappointment.

... it, it was quite a pleasant town which boasts lots of sculptures and statues and which also has a museum dedicated to old boats, all of which are still functional and indeed, are used for trips and regattas and the like. We enjoyed our brief excursion into the town and we liked many of the statues. Just by Rudkøbing there is another bridge that connects it to Fyn or to be precise, to the island of Tåsinge which is in turn, connected to Fyn by another bridge across a much narrower channel.
