As the clocks had gone back and we'd gone to bed by midnight we were up and on the road by 9:30am, all attired in our Viking TShirts we headed to Denmark!

The plan for the day was lunch in Sonderborg, where Neil used to go sailing and then on to Kiel for the night.

Denmark can be summed up with four words: family, eat, drink, sleep! We had a great time with the Danish family and they made sure that we wouldn't be hungry for about 2 months. The days were filled with eating yummy Danish food, playing games, watching football, short walkings at the beach and drinking beer / red wine. Our friends live only a few hundred metres from one of the most famous castles in Denmark - Valdemars Slot - so we took a few hours this morning to explore it.
