Wow! What a busy few days we have had here! Not much new to report, except that we have wrapped up our training, attended our last staff meeting and morning assembly and have gotten most of the networking infrastructure set up. We'll have to wrap up the finishing touches tomorrow, but we are feeling pretty good about the job we've done here. Thanks for all the comments, everyone! ... Robert shared his testimony of his cancer ordeal. After that was another assembly with the larger student body outside the school. Then we moved on to staff training which took up the rest of the day. After that was some recreational time with the kids, then dinner. This will be the basic schedule for the rest of our week, although we will deviate for special purposes. Many people were there, and they were serving some very spicy food (from what I hear, we aren't allowed to eat things that aren't prepared especially for us with purified water, as we aren't accustomed to Indian microbes). After that we had another meal (the food here is delicious, by the way). Kelly went to a meeting, and I headed over to the hospital to fix the doctor's email program and do some maintenance and upgrading.

... doorhebben dat we zoooo slap nog niet zijn en nu roepen ze ons zelfs soms wanneer ze werk voor ons hebben en amuseren we ons echt wel goed met de werkmannen en vrouwen daar. Het jammere is dat het momenteel hoogseizoen is vr de landbouw hier waardoor we af en toe niet moeten gaan omdat iedereen op het veld aan het werken is in plaats van op de werf, zoals vandaag dus... maar langs de andere kant zorgt dat ervoor dat ik hier ook nog iets boeiendere dingen te vertellen ...

... lachen! ok en wsl nog vanalles dat ik vergeten ben maar moet me hier haasten en heb nog zeeeeeer veel wistjedatjes in mn boekje staan... here they are... WIST JE DAT... - De stations hier een echte beestenboel zijn: ratten op de sporen koeien op de perrons en vliegen.... mja... op ons vooral! - je hier als blanke constant het gevoel hebt in een om-ter-langst=-staren-wedstrijd mee te doen... en die verdomde indiers winnen dus altijd he! - sommige indiers echt ...

... cost us 16 rupees before he fitted the exhaust back in place - and didn't charge us! We carried on into Vijayawada - with some relief and it was great to catch up with two other teams, Midlifecrisis and She's A Goa, and hear about their exploits on the road so far. We spent a very relaxing (and I feel, well deserved) afternoon in Hotel Manorama before an early dinner. By 9 o'clock, we were all ready for bed. Life on the road is a tiring experience!

Our week consisted mainly of getting up at 7 for breakfast, heading to the villages around 8, building houses until 12, taking a long lunch break through the hottest part of the day, resuming work at 3, and heading back to the hotel around 7.
