... desert later in the evening. All in all we could not have asked for friendlier and more accommodating people. During our Northern American travels we have experienced such friendliness and more than any of our previous trips.

A familiar scene for us. Girls up early eagerly awaiting the alarm, bags mostly packed, Matt and Jen preparing mentally for a four hour drive (more so regarding sanity than traffic)...'we're on the road again'. This was formally our last US leg drive. Breakfast, car packed, four chocolate cookies from Reception received and we were ready to leave Charlotte.

We had a relaxing day off today by the pool. Not much to say really. Great hotel. Clean and safe. We went to the shop in the morning which was a nice walk. And had a macdonalds which is right across the street. Naughty! Got dinner in for the rest of the week and went for a lovely swim. We were the only 2 in the pool. Oh well, more for ...
... on a park bench'. We tried to sleep on the plane and did, but not as much as we should have. Being an overnight flight we were due to arrive in London the next morning around 11:30am and we knew it would be a struggle if we didn't get some sleep. And our thoughts would turn to reality the next morning. :-)
