Before we head up into the scenic mountain area I decided to go and find
the buffet car and get a few cups of coffee for us all. Again this train may be
narrow gauge but just like the rest of Switzerland's railways its extremely
smooth running. Two coaches along and here is the dining car where I order 5
coffees from the friendly gentleman behind the counter. He places the 5 coffee's

We made a 45 minute lunch stop at a rest area near the Swiss & Italy border. Wow! Prices have to be the highest here of any of the other places in Europe. We just grabbed some warm croissants, nectarines and bananas to go along with the other snacks we had on board the coach. Before leaving Lucerne we took a walk back to the lake to take a few more pictures at twilight. It is sad to go. We loved Switzerland.
Tomorrow we are off to Florence.
