    ... the lock on the Welland Canal which goes between lake Ontario and lake Erie - around the falls. There is a road bridge which opens when the ship is leaving the lock. We were lucky enough to see the action.

    Went to a large Metro store in the town for lunch supplies - bread rolls and ham. They had a diagram to allow choice of the thickness of the ham slices. Lots of choices with the bread rolls too.

    Our trip started on a good note when Kirk was able to track down the owner of an iPhone he found outside Pearson airport and reunite them. Luckily the gentleman did not have the phone locked so we were able to call a recently dialed number and eventually reach his daughter. The man was so grateful he gave Kirk 2 big hugs.
