It was on the island called Nord-koster me and my wife used to stay when we were younger. We came here 17 summers in row from our children were small.
Today we should go from Ekenäs to the northern island and take the cable ferry that runs between the two islands. It is no more than an hour to walk and it was a great trip.
... easily go across it wihout any problems.
In the evening we had a great dinner at a restaurant called Rökeriet. They have specialised in seafood and it was a great meal. I have eaten there before and that was the reason I would like to bring my friends there also.
... about cow **** on the street, mangled legged dogs, mangled bodied beggars on scooters, and it does not have much of a mind numbing cacophony of horns, traffic or people. There are people in Europe, for sure. They tend to be fairly quiet and let us travellers go about our business without interruption. Only when we look completely confused will someone come to our rescue and point us in the right direction. They don't want to sell us stuff, or take us ...
Fredrikstad, Ostfold, Norway jasieniukrtw... before taking us back into town for a coffee. After the coffee we went up to fortress and walked around the icy paths with views over the town and harbour before having lunch at a restaurant in the fortress grounds. Next we drove out to the Norway-Sweden border at Svinesund and walked out onto the old bridge that crosses the fjord that forms the border before driving on via Kjersti's work to her ...
Halden, Norway tyga... og Landmand!" (He is an Englishman, and a landsman!). Whereupon the host said to me in good clear English, "And so you come from England, sir? May I ask were you live there?" "At Gloucester," I replied. "Indeed! then perhaps you recollect me, for I was at your house two years ago! My name is J_______, captain of the _______. How are your father and mother?" I need not say how much this took me by surprise. Here we were, driven out of our track by stress of weather, and ...
Tjome, Norway travellerbruce... a Swedish town is a very homely affair. Outside the door during the day there hangs an iron chest, about as large as a hat-box, into which to drop letters; inside, the post-master sits at a table, and "takes things easy :" and before one of these dignitaries I now stood, trying to make him understand that I wanted one of each description of stamp used in the kingdom. "But to what place does the gentleman wish to write?" He asked. " Nowhere!" "I thought the ...

Halden, Norway michaelmi... that has been learnt from the previous two schemes. One garden faces the road, the other has a view over rolling hills and fields of rural Norway. Photos would better explain than words. I can see a similarity between these gardens here and what we will are planning to do with the courtyard garden at 'The Larches'

Fikk kveldsmat ombord.
