    ... opened up before us. We started with Ørnevegen - the eagle's way. With each hairpin bend you could see further and higher, and Geiranger and the fjord became smaller. We then continued down to Valldal, where we took a ferry over another fjord, and on to Trollstigen - the troll's ladder.     ... whole bay of water and the ship and then within seconds it was all over as mass of mist would sweep up the Grand Fjord and hide the world from our eyes only for it to blow away again as fast as it arrived.

    While sitting up here I noticed the local car ferry leaving the town below. As it sailed passed the large cruise ship it looked rather dwarfed but as it sailed on through the Great Fjord it looked more like a small fishing boat than a large car ferry.

    ... that it opened at noon. However the owner took pity on us (two drowned rats) and opened the door. He had a log fire burning and we immediately set ourselves up in front of it.     We cant help but feel disappointed about finally getting bad luck with the weather. When we woke today, it was pelting down with rain, and the area around Molde was shrouded in mist. What would have been stunning with blue skies and bright sunshine wasn't to be. Our tour today was of the Great Atlantic Road. Our first stop, a lookout over Molde, nearly totally blocked by fog.
