    ... as we ran out of time last week. Parts of it were the 13th century gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey, but it’s now mainly of Victorian vintage. It was well worth the return visit - a great house with lots to see and very interesting paintings, photos and momentos of the Montagus over the centuries. The Montagu family still live there (since 1538) so we saw only parts of the house - no bedrooms and only some of the reception rooms. ...

    ... th century, as here is a natural ford for the Stour River. Its very picturesque and I’m looking forward to exploring in the morning. We found a wonderful old hotel, The Crown , We got adjoining rooms decorated beautifully, and enjoyed a very nice dinner in the restaurant downstairs.     ... the now not quite so sweet lady that had called me earlier was trying to wind me up by telling her colleague that she would have charged me the £25 admin fee to teach me a lesion ........ Ha!     ... with fresh produce again, a palette of food from Look What We Found, was waiting for us - along with an anchor, a new life raft, cockpit cushions and various other pieces of kit.
