Galway, Western Ireland, Ireland anoif_away... It was good for the night life, but a bit too many sequins and short dresses on girls who weren't meant to wear short dresses. We did however stay in an awesome hostel that provided laundry and a nice kitchen. We decided to cook a meal together and we made a great pasta that made up for the lack of other activity in Galway.

The next day a few of us returned to Dublin to sketch that area before heading to Scotland ...

Galway, Galway, Ireland nic_dani_geers... pie, which has mashed potatoes layered on top of steamed corn, carrots, potato pieces and peas. It was realllllly good....though I'm sure it was terribly unhealthy. Oh well.

After dinner, a few people in our group decided that they wanted to try to find a pub crawl. We all went along to check out what deal they were going for. The one they ended up deciding on was one where you started with an all-the-beer-you-can-drink-in ...

Galway, Western Ireland, Ireland gfunk576... and then we were at Inis Mor! The weather was still typical for Ireland, which meant we made the 10-15 minute trek to the hostel without breaking a sweat, but not really needing our jackets. We finally got settled, paid for the rooms, and power-walked up the hill to Ti Joe Watty’s pub because it was the only place we could get to before closing time. As it turns out, this was a fantastic decision. We all got various kinds of seafood – Amy had fish and chips, and ...

galway, Ireland lindsey-canada... Inis Mor, the largest of the three Aran Islands. I knew that the islands weren't large at all, perhaps the size of Key West? I chose to rent a bike and enjoy the scenery that was to expected of an Irish island. Although the ride was a bit tough at times with all of the hills, I was more than happy with my decision. I collected some Irish sand at a beach to add to my collection. I went to the complete opposite side of the island to see Dun Aonghasa, a stone ...
Galway, Ireland ktowers86... and buy one too, and take lessons together. Back at the hostel, she couldn't wait to get it out and play around with it. I know just a teeny bit more than her and was able to tell her that she had to rosin the bow first. Big smile when she finally got an actual note out of it. She's just like a little kid when she gets excited, and it's infectious. In the evening, Kat had to work. The Galway Oyster Festival is on so everything is very busy, and La Salsa was hopping. I went out with ...
