The old quarter - Bryggen Wharf - is a real step back in time. The houses are crooked, the streets are crooked and surprisingly it reminds us of our house.
We took the funicular up the mountainside to Floyen (A lookout). We wandered around a nearby lake and strolled down the mountain back to town.

Catching a train through the heavy snow
with mountains up high
and houses below.
A black and white photo in the light
and very dark in the night.
Mountains standing so high and tall
Houses perched on the edge
you'd think they are going to fall.
Flew into a very wintery Bergen airport, landing on a runway of compacted snow, without a problem. Bergen had just had the first major snowfall of the winter so even the Norwegians were struggling with numerous flight delays due to regional airports closing.
Still really felt like we were in the Arctic. Boarded the ferry which left apparently in the middle of the night after our first enormous meal.
... hilarious. To this day, Gudmund would read ****'s postings on Facebook on jokes and pranks he'd play on other people. Back then, **** told me he wanted a big red Dodge Ram and he finally got one. I am trying to imagine **** driving through the roads of Bergen, Norway's second largest city, something I'd never want to try.
