... you, wearing shorts didn’t help but Jon and I believe that this is summer, shorts must be worn. Rosemary on the other hand, being somewhat wiser, was wearing no fewer than 5 layers of clothes! Having said that, if you ignore the cold, it was gorgeous. What views. Many of the islands in the group are conjoined by bridges and causeways ...

Nordfjord: Olden & Briksdal Glacier 62 degrees N.
    Sunrise: 04:30 Sunset: 22:43

The view is breathtaking as we leave the ship for the morning's outing. We are awakened by our expedition leader Lucho, at 6:00. The ship has docked at Olden, a charming village on Nordfjord, one of "Norway's many beautiful fjords". After a passable breakfast, we board (4) busses for Briksdal Glacier, 16 miles south ...

    Forde

Sunshine today, what a spirit lifter, everything looked different without the rain. Today saw us making our way back towards Bergen, staying overnight at Forde. If time permits we are hoping to do a little exploring around Forde before we leave. Checked in to the Scandic-Rica for tonight, nicely located within easy walk of shopping centres, so took a stroll down there ...
