Tuesday we were allowed another small sleep in! Yippee. We headed to the park next door the hotel - Centennial Park. In the middle of the park is a replica of The Parthenon (just like the one in Greece), It was first built here in 1897 and is very impressive standing in the middle of the park.

After the park we headed into Downtown Nashville, we went through The Country Music Hall ...

After surviving the complete ZOO that is Nashville during CMA Fest we decided that the country music part of our visit to Nashville was over. As we still had another full day in Nashville we decided to go visit The Hermitage; home President (General) Andrew Jackson, our 7th President.  My late mother in law would have loved this place! ... again. The first thing Chris says, "Where do you live? South side? In the slopes or something?" NAILED IT! I was so amazed that he guessed where I lived without me saying anything more than "Pittsburgh." Once Adam was done working, he came over and had some beers with me and the guys. Matt clued us in that he and his buddies were playing a show later and told us we should go (we ended up getting wrapped up in other things so we didn't make it). ...

... introduced to who we thought was a kindly elderly gentleman. He was introduced to us as an Opry member, George Hamilton VI and it turns out that he is country music royalty! Fortunately, we grabbed an autograph! He told us about the Opry, about the performers and the performances, about the lifestyle, the celebrations and the family of men and women who make up the Opry membership. We then explored the dressing rooms, each decorated in a different theme and dedicated to ...

We found a seat towards the back and were joined with a couple from Phoenix, Arizona, Heath and Jolly. They were very nice and we enjoyed talking to them.
