    ... I was a little hesitant because the road was a bumpy dirt road and I was in a rental vehicle. However, the night before I asked a few people that I saw driving out if I could make it.     We had a good drive from Salt Lake City to Arches National Park where the scenery was just stunning. The red rock formations contrasting with the snow capped mountains in the background are amazing and we timed it well in terms of good light on the rocks without too many crowds of people.     ... are already full. We must park near the campgrounds and trek a fair distance just to get to the trailhead. I think I’ll log this as a 6.5 mile hike total.
