In one mountain pass, I was reminded of a journey I took when I was in the Army. I was driving my car in a Rocky Mountain pass and the engine was straining. Yet, I appeared to be going downhill. I recall stopping my car at the time and getting out to figure out which way was up and down. Releasing my parking break, my car began rolling Up Hill! This happened again on our drive to Moab. Moab has 4 restaurants listed as being dog friendly. We hit up Eddie McStiffs for some grub and ...

... staying pretty much layered up for most of it — we actually biked into the national forest on dirt roads, giving ourselves a break from cycling on pavement, however without mountain bikes. Actually, everyone commented how great the bikes performed — and thanks to our great instructors/bike techs Steve and Drew who took such good care of us and the equipment all week! We enjoyed a picnic lunch at Pack Creek Picnic Area in ...

We apologize for not blogging the past few days. There are many things we have learned since traveling through the states. One of them is Utah and Nevada (90% deserts) have the worst cell service and are made up of abandoned gas stations. While we were visiting Arches and Canyon Lands we camped at a small tents only campsite called Up the Creek. We had purchased a 4 person tent assuming that 4 people would be a decent size. Turns out the tent ...
