    ... hard to believe, especially about the guards being held hostage by the hundred or so prisoners and being traded for cigarettes!! Coming to the end of the tour we stopped by the punishment block and took a look inside one of the solitary confinement cells. The convicts did stints up to 3 months in these cells for 23 hours a day!! Enough to turn a man insane! He followed it up with stampeding, feral cows and mosquito borne Australian Encephalitis at Millstream; there were cliffs and gale force winds, not to mention sharks at Exmouth and Shark Bay; stone fish at Monkey Mia and even on our last night, the amoebic meningitis at Ellendale pool!     Everyone nursing a 'goonover' this morning. Managed to get going By late morning and headed into Perth CBD, first stop: Lucky Shag bar. A bistro bar set on a pier out into the great Swan River.
