I just went back through some of our photos to see that quote from Lao Tzu, "A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving." Now one month away from home with thousands of miles traveled, I longed for not being on the road. Although I never had a bad night's sleep or a back ache, I longed for my own bed. Although I've enjoyed the privileged of this adventure, I longed for home. One more day.
Today we went to down town Atlanta and got off of the train at Lenox, ready to go to the cinema. We went to look around some fancy expensive shops on the way. We saw mayceys and a Bloomingdales. We really didn't expect to see tall fancy sky scrapers today. The shops were so posh. The buildings were made of glass. The Phipps mall we went in had lots of posh expensive cars in it ...
... me cry. I was really in the right mood for the rest of the day. It was also great. The. The fault of the secret formula which was next. It gave us the history of coke and tempted us with a massive vault with the secret of coke. Next we went through the mile stones of refreshment which gave us a better idea of the history behind coke. We saw the olympic flames and pin up coke pics which was really great. We got a look at the bottle works which showed how it was all bottled up. ...
... grabbed a couple of umbrellas and headed out. The rain was really coming down so the umbrella did little except keep our head dry. Luckily it was only across the street. We got our tickets and went it. It was a good movie. Once the movie was finished, we headed back and made plans for the following day. O M G what a view, we could see for miles, the Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountains were on the horizon and downtown Atlanta was a clear as anything, stunning!
