... gone off - and it is dark outside I have dreamed of laying in bed with a cup of tea, reading the paper - then popping into town for a spot of shopping, maybe meeting friends to 'do lunch'.........Of course the reality of finishing work is that I will have to get involved in cooking, washing up, ironing and cleaning now. Perhaps I should have stayed at work until our last day!!

On the way back home I have to battle horrendous storms, flooding, thunder and lightening. I hope this is just freak weather and not an omen.

Hi All, Just thought we would touch base, although we do not have a lot to report at the moment. Just having a quiet weekend at home. The weather is not that great, so its not such a bad thing to be in doors at the moment. Its not too cold but it is drizzling. Elizabeth, an online friend who lives near Reading confirmed that I could visit with her in a day or so as well. Then I had a somewhat shorter walk to the Bull Public House in Hellesdon, which was open this time. Local beer and, I think, the Bull's Burger Meal, while sort of watching the World Cup football, then home for another good night's sleep.
