    Left the beautiful north woods this morning. My neighbors in the State Park Campground, Bruce and Holly, issued a most gracious invitation to camp in their driveway in Boise on my way back to Cody if I took that route. As I have said before, you meet some of the greatest people out here on the road!

    When we finally got back to the house, it was time to leave so we said our good byes and headed south-east towards Boise, ID around 12Noon.

    We were all sad to leave today but all good things must come to an end eventually. C made another batch of her now-famous huckleberry pancakes which we ate until we were positively stuffed. At started to rain pretty hard (by our California standards at least) just before we set out to pack the car, so we delayed a bit until it let up.     Another really hot day, so we're looking forward to getting back to some cooler Oregon weather (at least we hope it will be!).

    We're staying at the Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton and our room is on the 10th floor. Great view of the sunset.

    We left Seattle around mid day on Thursday and traveled east on 90 hoping to go all the way to Coeur D'Alene. After being unable to get to Snoqualmie Falls due to lack of parking and huge crowds, we then found out 90 was under heavy construction all the way to the Idaho border.
