    ... washing, I passed on getting together for dinner. Liam thinks I am a mean mum, but doing the laundry tonight means that it will hopefully dry in our room over the next day or two. We will have fresh clothes and tomorrow we can go out and explore rather than do washing! Instead we went across the road and had subway for dinner.     ... wonders of the world. I caught the bus first to a village where we had a look around at various stalls and had lunch, before heading to a sinkhole for swimming and a tequila museum. We then got to the major feature itself - Chichen Itza. Include in the tour ($55 total for all I mentioned - usual price is $75!) was a guided tour. Tuesday and after a smooth exit we were in the maxi taxi on our way to Sunset Boulevard- driven by an animated Ethiopian driver who acted as our personal tour guide as we navigated our way through peak hour traffic (did he really think that five over sixties who had just one hour of sleep would be in the LEAST bit interested). He shouted at drivers on the freeway (that we were driving by, not even on) and spent a lot of the time talking to himself and answering questions he asked himself whilst referring to himself in third person.
