    ... over eighty people and snaked around the aisles for 50 metres or more. Well, this was too much for a white girl from Ben Lomond, so we decided to have lunch at Peck's BBQ whose phone number is 886-HOGS. We each had a plate of barbecue pork, hot chips, cole slaw and hush puppies (Cornmeal batter mixed with onion and spices, rolled into balls and deep fried.) Well, Bubba, it don't get much better than this!

    We done a day trip to the historic village of Harpers Ferry which borders 3 states. A great little place for lunch and packed with tourists.
    The next day we took a quick ride up to West Virginia so I could tick another state off on my bike then we headed for Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive.
    Had an amazing ride along the ridge of the mountains with stunning fall scenery. Even saw a couple of baby bears in a tree which caused the usual 'bear jam'. ...

    ... curiosity and talkative, friendly locals....anyway, we are just about to set off and a Utilities contractor is in a work pick-up next to us and starts having a yarn and is inquiring about our trip. We get to talking about the "Tail of the Dragon" and he asks us if we noticed all the red stripes on the trees on the route...... "errr No" we replied - "Well" he says, " they represent all the fatality locations along the road ...

    Day Four - Shopping Day

    ... looking around the shops, we went to eat lunch at the red robin restaurant. We then went ot buy some scrapbooks and craft materiel for them in Michael's (craft store) followed by a trip to Barnes and Noble bookstore. When we get back we will show you guys the scrapbooks we have done.

    Overall a very successful day, despite the heat.
