We bought a truck to carry the camper today! It needs a little work, but seems basically strong. Once we get it travel-ready, we need to go to Arizona to pick up the camper.

Next time, ill take my chances and sleep at the nearest truck ...

Today (Tuesday) was our first camping/no travel day and we stayed at the Johnson Creek Corps of Engineers Campground. After reviewing our schedule and where we should be on what date, we found that we really have to slow down and take in the sights.

Lake Texoma is about 12 miles west of Durant and is a large man-made lake. Evidently there has been a severe drought as the lake is down about 10 feet. The Johnson Creek Campgrounds is managed by the Corps of Engineers and is a wonderful campground on ...
