I walk down to the fancy new gates only to find there is a delay, knew I should have waited for that boarding call. Delay is only 10 minutes and it is too far to walk back.

Once aboard and the safety demonstration is over, my eyes ...

... Alex and Ruth then went in for a swim. It was all very pleasant and relaxed. The water wasn’t heated but it wasn’t too cold as it’s so hot here. I opted to just sit on the edge; swimming just seemed like too much effort. Hayley somehow managed to get some odd tan lines that looked like a mountain range on her back, so she probably doesn’t want to use sunscreen again!

... Of course I had an advantage because of my size.

So on the next day we bought a tent, cooking stuff, food and I still needed a rain jacket. When that was done we headed north on the Highway 17. The guy from Hawaii who helped me when I forgot the key in the car had recommended Sedona so we stopped there on our way to the Grand Canyon. We did a little hike around the bell rock in the evening so it was dark already when we came back (it’s always good to have a ...

... the Desert Ridge Marketplace which had a mall with shops, restaurants, and places like Dave and Busters, also had a movie theater and kohls and target. I got food for breakfast and lunch to put in the fridge of our hotel room. It was a lot cheaper than to buy meal tickets for me. Each day, for the guests and families of the conference attendees, there is a special activity to do. Today we made wind chimes, kinda cool. Tomorrow we ...

7th day - Butterfly Wonderland & other fun things

A travel blog entry by edwardsfamtrips on Mar 28, 2014

Today we decided to go to Butterfly Wonderland after thinking about going to a museum with musical instruments. We thought the kids would enjoy seeing the butterflies more than instruments. :) The day started somewhat early with both kids waking up around 7am & then breakfast. The place opened at 10 so we made it there just a bit after 10am. There was a line out the door to get in when we got there but thankfully it didn't take long.
