Sunshine returned this morning and we started with a lovely day. We decided to explore the local area around where we are living, Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park are is famous for the St. Valentine's Day massacre, when Al Copone murdered 11 gangland rivals in a garage near where we are living, and the area was home to all of the worst criminality during the pre-war period. ... dinner a large part of the group headed off to our pub crawl, most of the group went. We caught the metro out of the main city center and meet up with our guide for the start of the pub crawl. We covered 4 main bars, did a bit of walking and went to a old style arcade game bar, a few usual pubs and a blues bar. We ran into more Australians and had a few drinks, good times and a bit of a talk. Later i caught a taxi back to the hotel and went to bed.

After that we wandered on down to Chicago's famous Navy Pier to watch the sunset, ride on the Ferris Wheel and also try and stay awake till 9.30 to watch the fireworks that take place on Wednesday and Saturday. Alas we couldn't make it to the fireworks as we were just too tired but we managed to capture a lovely sunset behind Chicago's famous skyline.....
