We toured the Door Peninsula on Thursday and agree that it is the Cape Cod of the Midwest. Much like the Cape, there are tourists ,galleries, quaint, but crowded, towns and little public access to the water. One surprise was the prevalence of cherry orchards. We laughed because when we looked at the map, we were closer to Minneapolis then Grand Rapids. We could see Wisconsin from the shore - one of the Islands and Sturgeon Bay!
