Very ordinary accommodation (as expected) but free shuttles to and within close proximity of Ft Lauderdale Int. Airport and Cruise terminals. Also within walking distance to shopping mall for last minute supplies if cruising. Wouls recommend for those reasons only.

... t really mind. When we got into South Beach there was no where to park. Chris dropped me off at La Sandwicherie, a resto that I had been to with my girlfriends when we went to Miami together. I wanted to enjoy a big salad and sandwich for lunch and I knew it would be delicious here so I picked some up for us to split. I also got a couple smoothies to help keep us cool. The plan was to eat lunch on the beach but we were both starving and still couldn't find parking so we devoured ...

... trees waving in the wind. I felt like I was on some subtropical island in a movie when I first set foot on Miami beach: the sand was the whitest and finest sand I had ever seen and the sea was bright blue. I dived in right away and had some pretty salty sips of water, but it was absolutely fantastic to paddle around in the water while feeling the sun burn on your face. Especially after three months of snow and cold, it was incredible to be able to walk around in bikini and chill ...

... baby back ribs for dinner with a salad. The ribs took 20mins to cook and turned out ok.

We spent some time tonight installing GoPro onto the bike so we can take some video of the amazing places we will see on this tri.

Paul has always wanted to do the Florida keys ride on the bike so today is our test for GoPro.

      We're having a great time.

... the public transport so after our bus took a completely different route back, we found ourselves on the other side of Bogota. It was an insightful look at the City and completely unintentional. Probably wouldn't want to do it again given the choice. The transmilenio is name of the transport line in Bogota and they have private secure stations manned by lots of armed security guards so once you have entered the station, it is relatively safe. That was a good thing as in our attempts to ...
