      ... the first bus to Arequipa but we were going to get off in the tiny town of Pampa Canahuase. Calling it a town is very generous. It's a small strip of road with a few buildings on each side selling a few odd things but most were closed. It's also a check point where the police are doing something with the trucks and buses passing by. Other than that there's nothing there. Except a lot of wind.       ... it to Oglesby for the night which is where the road to Starved Rock leaves the 55. There was a Best Western and Days i
      Inn to choose from. Best Western got our pick. Very nice. Had dinner at Delaney's Family restaurant across the road. Obviously well patronised by locals who were greeted by their first names. They had a buffet or a la carte. Buffet sounded good for us and hit the spot. Walked back to the unit to finish last night's blog and to do tonight's

      ... the wind pushes you away from the truck. It is fun when it is windy and there is about 15-20 mph wind gusts today.

      Stopping for lunch at a rest stop we see a motor home we have been with since Cheyenne, WY. That couple is returned home to New Jersey. The have a 2011 34 foot Monaco Monarch, a sister coach to ours.

      Just East of Davenport, IA we cross the Mississippi for the second time. Finally we are in Illinois and make our last KOA stop in LaSalle/Peru, IL.

      ... was higher than our limit, so the card was declined and they said they wouldn't be able to run it again for 24 hours. I told them that wasn't the amount I was quoted on the phone and their response was simply shrugging their shoulders and saying there wasn't anything else they could do.
