... Bill off at the airport and he went home. We sure miss him.

On Sunday morning we took off from Palo Alto and began our final week journey back to Denver. Our first stop was the mission in San Juan Bautista to meet my friend (one of my "virtual friends" as Soph would say), Dot. Dot and I have been on an email list for 15 years and it was great to get a chance to say hello in ...

... I guess the grandparents might have to get Facebook.. Hint hint :) ] The Hollywood Museum was our next stop. Filled with photos of old a Hollywood glamour icons, Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Munroe and the like; costumes from 60 years ago and from the last decade too. It was like stepping back in time. Dwight Howard was there, but didn't play, We booked parking for ...

... the scenes and set up was very very well done. It was like playing - 'spot Jack Sparrow' - lots to look at and take in. Def a winner.

We also took the old steam train around the park as well...it made a few stops along the way at the main entrance and a few other stops if you wanted to get from one side of the park to the other without walking, but we just did the loop and enjoyed the view. So it was getting on to late afternoon (the park closed at ...

No Disney today. Today it was time to get up early and get on a tour bus to Universal Studios. Having an 8.15 pick up time did increase the morning anxiety a little, but we made it with time to spare, and were soon on the hour-long drive to Hollywood with our driver Dennis and his unique sense of humour. He did have some useful information for us regarding Universal Studios and how to plan our day. From what he was saying, I thought we were going to be pushing it ...
