We arrived late at night to Monterey airport. 'Magic Ed' met us there. He is a bit of a legend around El Potrero Chico for having put up a lot of the rock climbing routes there. We piled in his car and set off. He told stories about this and that, including one about how driving along these roads reminded him of a friend he had when he was younger that was blind but they taught him to drive.
