Well it's about that time, all packed up and ready to fly out tomorrow! I somehow managed to pack everything into my pack and a carryon suitcase- just hoping I'm under the 50 pound limit and that I can lift my suitcase into the overhead compartment (that's my biggest fear). Mom is being surprisingly calm, except she made me bring two purses to be "safe" and modeled how to wear the unsafe purse correctly….. But I can't complain, I'd say ...
Pleasant Wisconsin roads. Stopped in town of Owen, had picnic as lots of bread, summer sausage and cheese in cooler.
Anna then drove -- didn't stop again until reached border -- where Mississippi and St Croix rivers join, so crossed Mississippi twice except the first was actually St Croix River. [At Prescott, Wisconsin and Hastings, Minnesota]
Very hot -- above 90 and humid. Had 2nd stop just across St Croix, possibly Lake Rebecca Park.
... BTW, Grandpa helped pick out the scooter via the cell phone. Technology keeps us connected when we are apart. While I am in Wisconsin, Jeff is back in Michigan working on small projects with his brothers and being grandpa to Bryce, Brennan, and Stella.
