The day started slow. I didn't get moving until around checkout. My first point of call was to go to a grocery store and get my regular list of groceries for my day on the road. I put groceries in my GPS but it kept taking me to convenience stores in the area. Small shops, some in dodgy areas. I had tried 3, one even called a supermarket, still, it was a small shop. In the afternoon we kayaked though a mangrove swamp and soon encountered a 7 foot alligator. It was lying in wait, but our guide (Jeremy) paddled over to it and slammed his paddle on the water. This provoked the 'gator to slide off into the lake.
