... road was blocked, we joined the queue behind the cavalcade of police cars. They got waved through, but the park ranger told us that today the President of the United States was visiting the park. We could go on in, but much of the park would be closed for security reasons, and that if we didn't get out of the park by 2pm, then we wouldn't be allowed out until gone 6pm. We decided to go in anyway.
Of course the best bits of the park were closed ...
There were lots of birds including many new to me like the Wood Stork, Purple Gallinule, blue heron, & the Everglades Snail Kite. Plus many regulars like - Ibis & Great White Heron
